On February 13th, KB Securities (KBS), in collaboration with the Korean Red Cross and the Vietnamese Red Cross, closely worked together to implement the "Rainbow 2025" program with a total funding value of 150,000,000 won (equivalent to 2.5 billion VND).

Rainbow 2025 is a strategic program of KBS in the Vietnamese market aimed at achieving sustainable development goals in education and environmental protection. The program will be implemented with two main projects: improving the learning and play environment for children in areas with challenging educational conditions (Rainbow Classroom), and planting trees for disaster prevention and environmental regeneration (Rainbow Forest).

After thorough research and surveys, KBS has chosen Tan Kim Primary School in Phu Binh District, Thai Nguyen Province, as the location for the "Rainbow Classroom" project. This school is located in a mountainous area with severely inadequate and deteriorating facilities. The infrastructure quality does not fully meet the standards set by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education.

With the goal of improving the quality of infrastructure and ensuring the best learning conditions for over 700 students and teachers at the school, KB Securities has supported Tan Kim Primary School by renovating the multi-purpose hall and old classrooms, purchasing new desks and chairs for both teachers and students, and providing IT equipment such as projectors, computers, and televisions. Additionally, KBS also prepared special gifts for students in difficult circumstances, including sports equipment and 100 books and stories for the students at the school.

As part of the program, KB Securities is also launching the "Rainbow Forest" project with the goal of planting 200,000 trees in the mangrove forests, contributing to environmental protection, disaster prevention, and providing an additional source of economic benefit for local communities. The project will be implemented and continuously maintained over the years.

Mr. Kim Sung-Hyun, CEO of KB Securities, spoke at the ceremony

Mr. Kim Sung-Hyun, CEO of KB Securities, shared: “We hope the Rainbow project will contribute positive benefits to Vietnamese society, help the future of young children grow, prevent natural disasters, and protect the environment.” He also mentioned that KBS will continue to focus on supporting education and fulfilling its social responsibility based on the core values of the company.

The ongoing efforts in ESG activities are also a testament to KB Securities' commitment to aligning economic benefits with the sustainable development of Vietnam.

Since 2009, KB Securities has implemented the "Rainbow Classroom" project at 37 locations in South Korea and many countries around the world. In Vietnam, notable locations include schools such as Huu Nghi Primary School (Hoa Binh), Lac Sy Primary and Secondary School (Yen Thuy, Hoa Binh), Marie Curie School (Hai Phong), and more.
