On February 20th, during the 2024 Annual Review Conference and the 2025 Activity Plan Implementation of the Vietnam Securities Business Association (VASB), KB Securities Vietnam (KBSV) was proudly recognized as one of the Top 7 leading companies in ESG practices in the securities sector under the "ESG Practice Scoring for the 2023 Period" (ESG Score) project.

The ESG Score project, implemented by VASB in collaboration with auditing firm RSM and the Seneca ESG technology platform, aims to raise awareness and promote ESG practices in the securities industry. The project, which runs from April to October 2024, is divided into two main phases:
Phase 1: Surveying the readiness for ESG practices.
Phase 2: Scoring ESG practices.
The project focuses on three main objectives:

Assessing ESG awareness,

Evaluating the current state of ESG practices at companies,

Proposing methods to enhance the effectiveness of ESG practices in businesses.
The report is based on surveys and assessments of 34 securities companies that are members of VASB. The Phase 1 survey consists of 31 questions based on criteria under the three pillars of Environment, Social, and Governance.
The scoring questionnaire in Phase 2 consists of 43 questions, with 8 questions under the Environmental pillar, 7 under the Social pillar, and 28 under the Governance pillar. The scoring questions and criteria were closely aligned with current regulations on sustainable development both domestically and internationally, best practices from regional countries, ESG scoring methodologies from leading global ESG rating agencies, and the ESG maturity assessment program by RSM.
The evaluation of ESG practices contributes to the goal of upgrading Vietnam’s stock market status in 2025, improving the quality of annual reports from public companies, securities firms, and listed companies, while aligning with international sustainability standards and practices.
The results of the project highlighted seven securities firms that fully met the standards and transparently disclosed all ESG data in their business operations. KBSV’s ranking in the top 7 is a testament to its consistent business strategy and the relentless contributions of its team, clients, and partners, as well as the unified implementation of ESG within the company's structure and its overall commitment to the securities market and community at large.
