On February 13, KB Securities (KBS), in collaboration with the Korean Red Cross and the Vietnam Red Cross Society, officially launched the “Rainbow 2025” program with a total funding of KRW 150 billion (approximately VND 2.5 billion).
“Rainbow 2025” is a key strategic initiative of KBS in Vietnam, aimed at advancing sustainable development goals in education and environmental protection. The program consists of two main components: improving learning and recreational environments for children in underprivileged areas (Rainbow Classroom), and reforestation efforts to mitigate natural disasters and restore ecosystems (Rainbow Forest).
Following a thorough assessment, Tan Kim Primary School in Phu Binh District, Thai Nguyen Province was selected as the site for the “Rainbow Classroom” project. Located in a mountainous area, the school faced significant infrastructure challenges, with facilities that were outdated and below the standards set by the Ministry of Education and Training.

To enhance learning conditions for more than 700 students and teachers, KB Securities supported the renovation of multi-purpose halls and classrooms, provided new desks and chairs, and equipped the school with essential IT facilities such as projectors, computers, and televisions. In addition, special support packages—including sports equipment and 100 books—were delivered to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

As part of the program, KB Securities also launched the “Rainbow Forest” project, aiming to plant 200,000 trees in mangrove forests. This initiative is designed to protect the environment, reduce disaster risks, and create sustainable economic benefits for local communities, with long-term maintenance planned over several years.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Kim Sung-Hyun, CEO of KB Securities, shared: “We hope the Rainbow Project will bring meaningful benefits to Vietnamese society—supporting the next generation, preventing natural disasters, and protecting the environment.” He also emphasized KBS’s continued focus on education support and corporate social responsibility aligned with its core values.
KBS’s ongoing ESG efforts reaffirm its commitment to balancing economic growth with sustainable development in Vietnam. Since 2009, the “Rainbow Classroom” project has been implemented at 37 locations across Korea and other countries. In Vietnam, notable beneficiaries include Huu Nghi Primary School (Hoa Binh), Lac Sy Primary and Secondary School (Hoa Binh), and Marie Curie School (Hai Phong), among others.
